    Admissions Marketing Coordinator Western Illinois University Work Department: University Relations/University Communications Class Title/Code: Admissions Marketing Coordinator (5004) Effective Date: Mar 25, 2021 Responsibilities: - Serving both the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses, this position enhances academic program recruitment and enrollment by developing and executing multiple recruitment and communications campaigns to various audiences, working with Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment Management, and University Communications. - Develops communications and promotional plans and materials for academic programs to recruit and yield first year and transfer students using a variety of communication methods (digital, traditional, print, etc). - Collaborates with various University constituents, as well as departments within the Division of Enrollment Management, to develop strategic and integrated marketing campaigns for academic program recruitment. - With University Communications, facilitates the organization and design, and executes and evaluates the success of segmented communications to reach a broad range of target audiences for the academic programs using a CRM. Uses data and surveys to measure and enhance message effectiveness and user satisfaction to create and meet strategic goals and key performance indicators. - Translates technical or strategic academic program information into user-friendly, appropriate communication tailored to various audiences. - Collaborates with University Communications, the University's marketing team, and Web Support to create and update academic department web pages. Works with University Communication, as well as Alumni Programs staff when appropriate, to seek student, faculty, alumni, and staff stories to support and market academic programs. - Evaluates and improves upon existing academic program web content; develops new web content and interactive features to continuously improve website usability and engagement. - Coordinates with academic program and Admissions Office staff to ensure aggressive promotion of academic program events and ensures appropriate collection of data for recruitment and reporting purposes. - Provides follow-up communications to students who have registered for academic program events. - Organizes and directs multimedia academic program recruitment strategies including chat sessions and call campaigns as well as create admissions reports as needed. - Participates in University-sponsored recruitment events, Open Houses, and similar events to support enrollment. - Creates and implements marketing strategies for academic programs to complement and advance the University's admissions efforts, enrollment management initiatives, and the University's strategic plan. - Coordinates academic program marketing creatives and communications with University Communications, University Photography and University Television for print, radio, outdoor advertising, web and tv spots, and digital marketing. Required Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field - Three (3) years of professional experience in private or public sector marketing - Experience in College/University recruitment and enrollment processes *Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.
