More information on the car raffle can be found on the Reid Brewer Memorial Facebook page. Team Reid Charities is a non-profit organization created after the passing of Reid Brewer, a Bushnell native, who lost his 2.5 year cancer battle in August, 2017. At 7 years old, Reid had an enthusiastic spirit and generous character, uncommon of someone so young. Reid once donated 16 X-Box One game systems and dozens of video games to his local pediatric oncology ward at OSF in Peoria after discovering the hospital only had 1 game system for all 16 rooms to share. Reid’s selfless mission is carried on by his family through Team Reid Charities, a dual mission non profit organization, dedicated to funding local community projects, such as the Reid Brewer Memorial Splash Park, as well as funding much-needed pediatric cancer research.
