    Job Description
    The Western Illinois Regional Council – Community Action Agency has an exciting opportunity for employment in our Victim Services Department for a position that plays a critical role in helping those who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse.
    Essential Functions. The Data Entry Specialist/Volunteer Coordinator, under the supervision of the Victim Services Director, is responsible for entry of computer data for the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Programs, including the following tasks: completion of monthly statistical reports; answer and route calls for program  telephone lines;  provide clerical support for the programs as necessary;  is violence-intervention trained and may provide crisis counseling on telephone or in person; and is responsible for coordination of volunteers, including scheduling, meetings, and assisting with training.  Some local/regional travel may be required, reimbursed through employer.
    Requirements.  High school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in secretarial related subjects and two years’ related work experience. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills, basic computer skills, and have respect for program/client confidentiality.
