LGBT+ Empowerment Group
All LGBT+ members and allies are welcome to attend an LGBT+ Empowerment Group in Macomb hosted by Western Illinois Regional Council - Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA) Victim Services. Becky Cox-Medina, Domestic Violence Legal Advocate, and Brittany Schisler, Sexual Assault Children’s Counselor, formed the group to provide a place for support, resources, and conversation in a safe and confidential setting. Beverages and snacks will be provided. For more information about the event, or to speak to a counselor, please call Victim Services’ free and confidential 24-hour hotline at 309-837-5555. WIRC-CAA Victim Services, based in Macomb, provides free and confidential services in a safe environment with knowledgeable staff members who are ready to provide emergency services, advocacy, counseling, professional training, and public education.
