Kathy Simmons Memorial 5K Walk/Run/Roll
WIRC-CAA Victim Services is sponsoring the Kathy Simmons Memorial 5K Walk/Run/Roll on Saturday, May 5. Kathy Simmons was a victim of domestic violence. She was murdered on March 26, 2003 by her husband of 25 years, Kevin Simmons. Ms. Simmons was a mother of three children, Kent, Kiryn and Kane and a resident of Hancock County. She was a compassionate registered nurse at McDonough District Hospital for 12 years prior to her murder. The Walk/Run/Roll is in her memory and those who have been affected by domestic violence.
